The Imo Sleeping Senator?
There is this Senator from Imo State. The news every where is that all he does is to dose off whenever he seats on his chair at the Red Chamber. The Senator was said to be quietly enjoying his retirement in United States of America, USA, when a former Governor of Imo State brought him home and eventually was “made” a Senator in 2011.
The idea, POPULAR SIDE was informed, was for the Dead Wood, to be planted to hold “Brief” for the Ex-Governor who will take over from the Sleeping Senator. Be he has wasted the entire Legislative years in the National Assembly, as he has no single motion to his name but instead has become a “Special Assistant” SA, to one of the Vibrant Senators in Imo State. He follows this Senator to his own assignments as an errand Boy.
This Senator does not hold meeting, constituency briefings or any activity of his own for his people. But he is usually the first to arrive at such ceremonies organized by his Colleague Senators from Imo.
Well, this Sleeping Senator should thank his Stars and the former Governor for his fortunes. But he should not try coming a second time, because his first outing so far is becoming a waste. Nawa for this sleeping Senator
Roforofo At Chikwe Onuoha Father’s Burial
It was a burial ceremony but it could pass for political campaign ground as politicians in Imo State go for each others jugular at the burial ceremony of Eze Theodore Onuoha, at Umuaro, Isiala Mbano LGA.
The Speaker of Imo House of Assembly, Rt Hon Benji Uwajumogu fired the first salvo. Instead of commenting on the matter at hand, started reeling out Governor Rochas Okorocha’s achievements at a burial ceremony.
Therefore, when it got to the turn of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume to talk, he lambasted Okorocha for what he described as non-performance and failure.
Chikwem Onuoha, the bereaved son of the late Eze Theodore picked the Microphone to defend Okorocha after Araraume had spoken.
This created tension as politicians started leaving the venue, Araraume zoomed off with his entourage, so also did Ikedi Ohakim’s loyalists who were around in droves as they felt Chikwem Onuoha who served under Ohakim’s regime has turned-coat over night, and betrayed them and their Boss.
It was mostly the APGA-APC followers that felt relaxed as they headed to Chikwem’s House for entertainment, while many left from the venue of the Church Services where political exchange of fire was recorded. What a roforofor ahead 2015!

Is Rosemary Okeke In Imo State?

Remember Rosemary Okeke? She was Miss Nigeria 1984, after which she married Mr Adekunle Wright before the marriage hit the rocks and they went their separate ways.
Last week, one of the National Dailies was asking the whereabout of the former Beauty Queen, as she has been scarce in Social Circles.
However, a Bird whispered to POPULAR SIDE that the mother of Roxanne, a female, may be in Owerri as she was sighted at Government House, Owerri, Imo State lately. Doing what?
POPULAR SIDE was told that she is now a Protocol Officer to the Governor, and resides within the vicinity of the Seat of Power. Hmmmm! But Okorocha has not appointed new Aides since he dissolved his Exco! So what about a Protocol Officer now?
Whatever be the case, POPULAR SIDE is still digging to locate the Ex-Beauty Queen, if really she is in Imo, so that she can confirm this story once and for all. But meanwhile, we keep our fingers crossed until this Bird informs us of the latest development on this matter!
