Okorocha, Mayor, Inspect Projects In Orlu Zone As People Rates Them High

In continuation of his Rescue Mission Government His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, on Tuesday 19th November 2013 toured Orlu zone with the mayor of the zone, Chief Dr Goddy Esom Obodo to inspect some projects going on in the urban city.
Inspecting the three main projects which include the Building/material market, Electronic market and the gigantic shopping mall all in Orlu, the Governor highlighted that he was so grateful to the peoples coordination and the achievements of the mayor and other son of Orlu zone, Ichie Mbanaso amongst others. Okorocha further said that all the structures built in form of lock-up shops should be well taken care of and solicited that the mayor and other people concerned with the buildings should cater for to the plights of the incoming occupants. His Excellency also promised to commence an immediate excavation of the topography inorder to give the building material complex a fascinating look which will also take care of the drainage against flood.
After listening to the plights of the Building material market, Electronic market and the shopping complex mall, Gov Okorocha reduced the prizes to 350,000 for building material market, 500,00 for electronic market and 1.5 million for the shopping mall as against the initial prizes of N750,000, N1m and N2m respectively. He further urged them to move into their shops while other works continues.
Responding, the mayor of Orlu zone, Chief Dr Goddy Esom Obodo expressed his unalloyed gratitude to the Governor for canceling some of his schedules to answer and honour his clarion call to visit the project. The mayor stated that the inspected projects were started by his predecessors which they could not complete due to some reasons, but promised to bring the good governance of Owelle Okorocha to bare which has the intention of transforming Orlu to a modern city, just like the other zone (Okigwe and Owerri).
In their separate speeches, the commissioner for works, Ichie Best Mbanaso, Eze Okechukwu Nnam of Isiala Amaifeke among others showered encomium on His Excellency and the mayor and pledged their unflinching support come rain come sunshine.
