Two women groups in Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency has accepted and endorsed the aspiration of Mr Felix Chukwu, Chairman of the Federal Road Safety Corps to run for the Ahiazu/Ezinihitte federal constituency seat come 2015.
The groups, under the agies of Ezinihitte Progressive Women Front (EPWF) and Ahiazu Good Women Organization (AGWO), made their position known through a communiqué signed by Lolo Chioma Amanze and made available to Trumpeta. The group pointed out that those either eyeing the seat presently have at one time or another been appointed or elected either at the LGA, state or federal level, with nothing to show for it, hence they believe only Felix Chukwu can bring the desired change to the people.
The communiqué reads in part. “That we want leadership by example, a leader that will empower our youths, a leader that understands the yearnings of our people, a leader that is not corrupt, a leader with vision, who can empower our people and get them out of the poor state which we found ourself due to selfish leadership by those who claim to represent the people but are there for their personal gains.
The women noted that the people of Ezinihitte are proud to support a credible and unquestionable man in the person of Mr Chukwu who understands what it means to be a servant. They noted that within the short time he has been with the FRSC, he has empowered more than fifty youths, created employment opportunities and awarded scholarship to so many school children.
The women pointed out that any person who has served Ezinihitte/Ahiazu in the past without patriotism and positive impact on the people. Should not be voted for in 2015.
They women groups said Ezinihitte/Ahiazu people deserve a vibrant leader who will speak for the people at the National Assembly and bring back dividends of democracy to Mbaise nation.
