Tragedy has again struck the ancient town of Ikeduru with the news of the death of its former Transition Committee Chairman Architect Ezeaku Anyanwu on Wednesday February 12, 2014.
This is coming barely three weeks after the gruesome murder of one time Local Government Chairman of the Council Hon Brendan Oguine who is yet to be buried.
While Hon Oguine hails from Atta, Architect Anyanwu is an indigene of Owubinubi in Amakohia Ikeduru.
Unconfirmed report has it that the ebullient life bubbling Anyanwu popularly known as Chief Omemma of Owubinubi died after a brief illness.
The story has it that he complained of some abnormal feelings around his chest a forth-night ago which prompted his medical attention at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri.
But sensing that the complaint may not be a minor one, the family quickly started arrangements to fly him out of the country for better medical attention before he suddenly died. Since the news of his death late Wednesday evening, the people of Ikeduru have been thrown into another mournful mood over the death of this illustrious son and politician.
