APC Governors Storm Owerri Weekend For Summit

Sixteen Governors, on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the country according to a statement from Government House, will arrive Owerri, the state capital this weekend, to continue their lecture series on Progressive Governance. The governors are coming on the aegis of the Progressive Governors Forum, which, by the grace of God, has the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, as chairman.
Details from Sam Onwuemedo, SA Media to the governor said the governors will arrive Owerri on Sunday August 31, while the third lecture series proper will take place on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Nick Banquet Hall, Government House Owerri, by 10a.m.
The chairman of the epoch-making event will see the former Vice president of the country and APC Chieftain, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, while Professor Ijeoma Joy Okoye of the Department of Medicine, University of Nigeria, will be the Guest lecturer.
The Special Guest of Honour will be the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun.
The theme of the lecture is “Dealing with the Challenge of Building Physically Healthy Nation through preventive, protective and Innovative medicine”
The Discussants at the lecture series will include, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, Professor Oyewale Tomori, president of the Nigeria Academy of Sciences and Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo, an International Health Consultant.
