Contrary to believe in certain quarters that all is not well between two strong APGA pillars in the state, the Senator representing Owerri zone (Imo East) Senator Chris ND Anyanwu says she has no troubles with Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
Speaking during a live radio programme to mark the end of her meet – the – people constituency program, Senator Anyanwu said that she enjoys a cordial relationship with the Governor adding that both of them are in good terms.
Senator Anyanwu who spoke in Hot FM popular morning programme ‘People’s Assembly’ said “my relationship with His Excellency, the Governor of Imo state is nothing but cordial. I have a healthy relationship with the Governor”.
On the heated issue of elected local government chairmen and the present administration, Senator sued for dialogue and amicable resolution of the impasse.
According to her, there is a solution to the problem as the affected parties can discuss a way out and relevant stakeholders can also be involved to bring peace.
“The matter would have been resolved earlier than now, but no matter what happens, it can also be resolved. People can be involved to bring peace”, Senator Anyanwu added.
There have been speculations that there is no love lost between Senator Anyanwu and the Governor over undisclosed reasons. Even as both came to power through the APGA platform, the Senator does not attend state functions while the Okorocha does not consider her in the scheme of things in the state.
