From all indications Nollywood actors/actress involved in the 2015 electioneering have one way or the other significantly added value to our political gladiators and as the general elections in Imo State swings its pendulum towards tomorrows supplementary elections, acts from the entertainment scenes have continued to stand firm behind the political actor as it was observed during campaigns.
But one nollywood actor have stood up to be counted as he exhibited patriotism, Okechukwu Mac-Anthony also known as Okey Bakassi for over 2 decade in nollywood was spotted by Trumpeta Extravaganza in a polling booth at Obohia Primary School, Ahaizu Mbaise of Imo State during the last governorship/House of assembly elections where he helped the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to control the large turn-out for the election.
The stand-up comedian and accomplished actor who also served as the Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Ikedi Ohakim said in a brief chat that many Nigerians hope for a better Nigeria free from corruption, injustice, adverse-poverty, mis-management of public fund, but yet prefer to relax in the comfort of their homes during the elections ignoring the fact that a struggle for a better Nigeria begins with all Nigerians getting involved to make change possible.
He advised all Imolites in the affected LGA where supplementary election are to be held to troop-out en-mass and vote for their preferred candidate, he urged youth shun any form of violence that will mar the elections.
