As mixed reactions continue to trail the recent expulsion of about 20 persons by Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State Chapter, a prominent politician in the State Senator Ifeanyi Araraume has dismissed members of the party.
In a paid advertorial signed by the party’s publicity, secretary, the state arm of the PDP released 20 names, including Araraume for alleged involvement in anti-party activities warranting the loss it suffered during the governorship election.
Senator Araraume in a swift reaction while stating that the purported expulsion is an exercise in futility, said “to Hell with PDP”
Using uncomplimentary expressions Araraume in the statement said “the rascals in the Imo State chapter of the dying PDP have goofed again…, the unrepentant sinners in PDP failed to let the public know that Senator Araraume and his supporters left the party long ago. How can they expel a man who resigned formally rom their criminal gang. Senator Araraume walked out of PDP because he could not remain in a party built on injustice and fraud. Those who announced the expulsion were just mischevious”,
Stating further, Araraume said, “the trauma which PDP leaders are suffering as a result of their defeat in the Imo governorship is still lingering. Senator Araraume pitched his tent with the APC to teach the PDP a lesson.
The bitter lesson from the Imo governorship election is that the PDP cannot survive in Imo as long as it continues to deny Araraume victory and the opportunity to serve the Imo people”.
