The management of Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo Ohaji in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State recently withdrew students numbering over three hundred (300) from the Institution.
Speaking to Trumpeta in his office recently, the Rector, Very Rev Fr Wence Madu said the withdrawal or repeat of courses was as a result of the students not abiding by the rules and regulations of the institution which include submission of seminars early and some necessary fees ought to be paid to the Institution.
According to the Rector, many students of the Institution did not come into the Polytechnic from the right source adding that any student caught, who did not come in through the right source would be withdrawn from the institution.
He further used the opportunity to advice parents on who they ask for the admission of the children/wards, adding that when students study extensively, they pass their exams and that the era of bribery for admission purposes was gone, as he said that any student who merited admission would have it.
