Former Lawmaker, Okwara Makes Case for Heartland over Funding ..Unveiled As VIP Supporter

A call has gone to well meaning citizens of the state, particularly Football stakeholders to see reason why Heartland Football Club of Owerri should receive adequate financial support to enable it remain stronger and afloat in the NPFL .

A former member of the State House of Assembly who represented Nkwerre state constituency, Prince Obinna Okwara stated this while been unveiled as one of the VIP supporters of Heartland Football Club at the club House Ikemba Ujukwu center new Owerri this week.

Prince Obinna said it is not common in the History of Nigeria Professional Football League that a club will immediately return on the top flight after just one season on relegation, adding that efforts if the club management under the able leadership of Chief Goodfaith Etuemena, Mr Bash was able to achieve is why it is important that every citizen of the state should rally support for the team.

He said Heartland Football Club is the pride of Imo that is why all hands should be on deck to give them the needed financial support to sustain their stay in the NPFL.

Prince Obinna used the forum to announce his company produced battle water JEKOK Table water as the official water of Heartland Football Club.

The president of Heartland Football Club Chief Goodfaith Etuemena said the club in it’s re-branding program deemed it fit to acknowledge some of the club’s VIP supporters who have gone out of their ways to support and assist the team achieve the much it did and thanked Prince Obinna for his commitment to the success of the team.

Chief Etuemena said Heartland Football Club acknowledges all who have done so great for the team as the club will continue to appreciate them for their goodwill to the state darling team.

The highlight of the event was the official unvieling of Prince Obinna with a Hearland brand Jersey.
