Nigeria’s Falconets on Sunday morning qualified for the Quarter final of the FIFA under 20 women world cup inJapan.
The Nigerian under 20 female team in the early hour of Sunday defeated the Italians by 4 – 0 to top their group as they cruised into the last eight of the competition.
Francisca Ordega scored three impressive goals, two in the first half and one in the opening minutes of the second half before Osarenoma Igbinovia iced the cake with the fourth goal few minutes from full time.
Nigeriacame close to winning the trophy in 2010 but lost the hostGermanyin the final. The girls are looking impressive again but will have to contend with the defending championsGermany,USAandJapanwho also qualified from group B behindNigeria.
