ORLU ZONE APC LEADERS DENY ENDORSING ARARUME,OKIGWE ZONE ...RALL YSUPPORT FOR OWERRI ZONE -

Prominent leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Orlu Zone have denied in its entirely the purported endorsement of Senator Ifeanyi Ararume or Okigwe Zone for governorship in the 2019 election.

This development followed a newspaper report in Nigerian Horn that the party in Orlu Zone has adopted the former national Lawmaker as her sole candidate for 2019.

Reacting to this development on behalf of APC leaders in Orlu Zone, Hon Engr. Uju Okoro described the said endorsement as “April Fool”, saying that well spirited individuals who have the state at heart should disregard it with a wave of hand, as nothing as such ever happened. He further revealed that those among the group that took the decision were members of PDP who are still pleading with stakeholders in APC to allow them join the ruling party.

According to Hon. Okoro, who is the Chairman, Contact and Mobilization, Orlu Political Summit, it is on the record that members of APC in the zone have been seriously agitating for Owerri zone to produce the next Governor in Imo state, adding that Okigwe and Orlu Zones,/having taken their shots, there was no way members of the ruling party would have consciously or unconsciously endorse Senator Ararume or his zone for the position.

Expressing annoyance, the former Transition Committee Chairman of Isu LGA therefore maintained that on no account should any group or group of persons parade themselves as members of APC in Orlu zone to create political tension, pointing out that no sane Orlu person would Support any other zone for Governor rather than Owerri zone that has been politically marginalized.
