A Non- Governmental Organisation, Oru Frontier recently aided the less privileged in the society by donating a wheel chair to Miss Caroline Aguoji of Umuezike village in Awommama, Oru East LGA.
Spokesperson of the NGO, Sir Obioha, said the NGO is known for service to humanity and to touch human lives in different ways.
He said the resolve of the NGO to assist Miss Aguoji was driven by the concern they have for the poor and the needy in the society. Obioha recounted that the NGO have assisted many secondary schools in the area by donating computers and generators to assist them to attain academic excellence.
He stated that the group is determined to support good governance, stressing that it is not a political and partisan one. In his comments, member representing Oru-East state constituency, Hon Greg Okemili thanked the Association for the rare gesture, urging them not to relent in their efforts.
He however commended for a job well done, urging them to do more.
Speaking in also, Former commissioner of police Ogun state, Barr. Nkemdeme, who is a member of the community, thanked the Association for their philanthropic gesture, urging sons of Oru East to emulate the initiative of the Association.
Father of the benefactor, Mr. Aguoji, commended the group for a job well done.
