.. SUSPECTED FEMALE INFORMANT ARRESTED.

The people of Uba Agwa in Oguta LGA are said to be fleeing the area following a looming arrest after a suspected bandits/Police clash.

An indigene of the area, on condition of anonymity, told Trumpeta that four of the suspected bandits(all from Uba Agwa)had sneaked from their enclave to lure the Vigilante personnel in the area to partner them in their “war” against the Fulani kidnappers terrorizing the area.

The narrator said on arrival, last Friday, the suspected IPOB didn’t meet the Vigilante personnel they targeted and decided to leave messages with their families.

Later that last Friday, the presence of the suspected bandits leaked to the Police in Agwa Police Station who quickly mobilized to arrest them and an exchange of gunshots ensued.

In the cross fire, a Police Officer identified as Emma from Umuomii Agwa attached to the Agwa Police Division lost his life while one of the bandits from Uba Agwa(yet to be identified) was also gunned down.

The narrator disclosed that two of bandits who had escaped with bullet wounds were later found dead in the bush while the fourth one was arrested where he went to extract bullets from his body.

A lady from the area suspected to be the bandit’s links woman has been arrested for interrogation. Our narrator revealed that traces of communication between her and the bandits were discovered in her phone.

Trumpeta learnt that the DPO in Agwa Police Division has arrested some of the Vigilante personnel in Agwa for not reporting the presence of the bandits to the Police.
