A former Vice Chairman of Owerri West LGA, Imo State, Hon (Chief) Chiemena Abara (KABARA) has disclosed that the present rot in Imo State, as left by the past administration is too humungous, and therefore called on all Imo citizens to support the administration of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha to move the State out of the woods.
Speaking to Trumpeta on phone yesterday, Abara said that with collective effort and support of all Imo people, Ihedioha will not only retrieve Imo from its present predicament, but will transform the State to greater height.
The Special Adviser SA political to the Secretary to Government of Imo State, Hon Uche Onyeagocha commended Ihedioha for his achievements in just 50 days in office, pointing out that the Stakeholders meeting where Ihedioha briefed Imo people on the journey so far was a good one, which he said would keep Ihedioha close to the masses.
He also thanked his Boss, Hon Onyeagocha for deeming it fit to appoint him his Aide, promising to work hard on the office.
“This is challenge to do more. Working with Onyeagocha will afford me more experience, and expose my political horizon” Abara said.
He said that Onyeagocha is a tested and trusted Technocrat cum politician, whose tract records dates back to the military era when he fought for Nigerian democracy which everybody is enjoying now, adding that Ihedioha made the best choice in appointing Onyeagocha the Secretary to Imo State Government.
He advised critics and writers to give the present administration time before they begin to criticize, pointing out that 50 days in office is not enough to judge any administration.
Abara appealed to the Governor to look into the Avu/Egbema road, particularly near the Avu market where erosion is about cutting the road into two, pointing out that if the road if allowed to deteriorate further it will cut off Owerri West LGA off from Ohaji/Egbema LGA, by Avu/Egbema Road.
