In an apparent effort to halt leakage of vital information and suspicions within the Government House Owerri, massive redeployment of staff of the People’s House has been effected, 100 days after the swearing-in of Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma as the state governor.
Trumpeta checks revealed that transfers are being done indiscriminately, with over three hundred staff belonging to all categories affected by the exercise which according to sources close to government is expected to bring a new lease of life to Douglas House that has recently suffered terrible leakage of confidential information and gale of attacks by main opposition party.
According to some affected civil servants who pleaded anonymity , a circular from the Office of the Head of Civil Service of Imo state, revealed that hundreds of staff on SGL 07-14; even security and were affected.
The source further said all handing and taking over processes are expected to comply with the directive on or before Friday, May 8.
Trumpeta also gathered that most workers at the Imo State Secretariat particularly the once employed by Gov Rocha’s Okorochas administration were redeployed to fill vacant positions at the 27 local government and some designated ministries.
