A Bill to establish a Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery in Ahiazu/ Ezinihitte Federal Constituency has passed its first reading in the House of Representatives, Abuja.
The Bill was sponsored by Hon Emeka Chinedu who represents Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
Speaking to Journalists in Abuja, Hon Emeka Chinedu said that he prays that the Bill escapes all the rigours of making laws, pointing out that he is happy that the Bill has passed its first reading.
He said that if established, the Federal School of Nursing and Midwifery will not only serve as an avenue to provide medical workers for Imo State and other parts of Nigeria, but will serve as a serious Federal presence in the Federal Constituency.
Hon Chinedu vowed to continue to pursue those things that will provide dividends of democracy for his constituents.
“My job as the Representative of my people is to look after what concerns them and pursue them to a result” Chinedu said.
