.Debunks Bribe-For- Endorsement Rumour
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Oru West Local Government Chapter, Imo State has agreed in unison to support the Governorship ambition of His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha in the next Gubernatorial Election in Imo State.
In a release signed by PDP Leaders, Stakeholders and members of the party in Oru West LGA, the party refuted publications that appeared in some Owerri based-Newspapers, alleging that Oru West PDP Leaders were bribed by His Excellency Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha to support his 2023 Governorship election.
“We wish to state clearly that the purported report is nothing but a deliberate falsehood and wicked propaganda aimed at disparaging the person of the former Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha”.
The Oru West PDP declared that though it met with their Leader, Ihedioha, he offered them no kobo, as they don’t need any inducement to support Ihedioha to return as Governor of Imo State come 2023 election.
The Leaders therefore decided to now openly endorse Ihedioha as their major Aspirant in the PDP primaries, and in the main election proper.
“The Leadership and members of Oru West LGA PDP unanimously endorse His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha (CON) for this year’s Governorship election, in sync with the yearning of the people of Imo State” the Leaders vowed.
The Release was signed by Ichie Cajetan Chukwujekwu Onyebuchukwu, the Chairman of PDP in Oru West LGA, Ndubuaku Onyekachi, the PDP Secretary, and Hon Chief Fabian Ogbonna, the Apex Leader of PDP in Oru West LGA.
