Imo Sports Commission To Kick-Start 2nd Phase Of Talent Hunt European Football Exhibition Tour

Following conscious efforts by the Imo State Sports Commission Chairman, Hon Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna “Ambassador” to ensure that many talented youths in the state benefit from His Excellency’s diversified  “Shared Prosperity 3R mantra”, a second phase screening exercise has been approved.

In a statement confirmed by the Personal Assistant to the Sports Commission Boss, Hon Neville Okere, the exercise is to ensure that more talents are given opportunity.

He observed that Imo is blessed with abundance of talents, especially in sports saying that Prince Ogbonna is determined to use the sports sector to empower our talented youths with robust and economically viable programmes.

He further disclosed that the announcement for the screening exercise is already playing on Radio stations and agog in the social media assuring interested talented players that selection will be purely on merit.

“Are you a talented footballer with the dream of playing professional football in Europe, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.

“As the Imo State Sports Commission in line with the Shared Prosperity 3R mantra holds the second phase screening exercise for talented footballers ahead of the “Talent-Hunt Football European Tour” later this year.

“The exercise which will last for just one week will afford the Commission’s Technical Team the opportunity to select talented players that would have the opportunity of traveling to Europe for Training Tour with Imo Sports Commission partner’s, a Sports Agency in Spain and others Europe as packaged and secured by the Sports Commission Chairman, Hon Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna “Ambassador” through the diversified Youth Empowerment programme of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Dist. Sen Hope Uzodimma “Onwa Oyoko”.

Venue: Training Ground of Dan Anyiam Stadium, behind Main Bowl.
