UNN National President Denies Rumored Illegal Meeting

The National/Global President of the University of Nigeria,Nsukka UNN Alumni Association Lady Dr Doris Okoro(ALOHA)has disassociated the Association from a purported meeting of the Organization scheduled to hold in Owerri,Imo State on Thursday,4th of July.

Dr Okoro described such event as false, illegal and Lacks approval, adding that such should be seen as a figment of imagination of some unscrupulous elements.

Addressing a Word Press Conference in Owerri,the Female Lecturer in Federal College of Education(Technical) Omoku, Rivers State,said that it became necessarily and pertinent to clear the air so that unsuspecting Public don’t get deceived by such illegal meetings.

She explained that investigations unveiled that those planning the gathering in the name of UNN Alumni are alleged to be some graduates of the Institution who are neither members of the Alumni nor National Executive Council,NEC,nor do the have the approval of the authentic NEC to hold the illegal gathering.

She however said that the real meeting of the Body will hold in Gombe State some time in July with the approval of the authentic NEC,and advised the that mischief makers should not toil with the name and image of UNN Alumni of the Great Lion and Lionesses of University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

She appealed for calm and advised Members to remain focused and have the usual confidence in National/Global Executive.
