STATE OF NGOR OKPALA ROADS: Amajirionwu’s Open Letter to Gov Uzodinma is self-serving and dishonest.

….. describes him as a cheap political jobber.
The Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Urban Renewal and New Cities Development, Hon Bede Eke, has called on Ngor Okpala people to totally ignore and disregard the Open letter to Gov Hope Uzodinma by Hon Blyden Amajirionwu regarding the state of Ngor Okpala roads.
Bede Eke said Amajirionwu was dishonest in his narrative because he failed to admit that he was part of the cause of the deplorable state of the road and that he worsened the situation by refusing to take action when he was in a position to act.
Eke recalled that during the Rescue Mission administration of Gov Rochas Okorocha, Blyden Amajirionwu was a chieftain of the ruling APC and was part of the party leaders who flagged-off the Ulakwo _Umuneke-Nkwoala road, and used same road flag-off as part of his campaign tools to solicit votes when he contested for House of Representatives in the 2019.
Amajirionwu together with some leaders of APC then, through their contractor rented caterpillars, bulldozers and brandished them at the project site and till the expiration of the Rescue Mission administration, there was nothing to show for the funds released by the State government.
Hon Eke also recalled that Blyden Amajirionwu served as Special Adviser to Gov Hope Uzodinma on Market and Allied Matters during his first term, noting that there was never a day, he raised the issue concerning the now deplorable Ulakwo _Umuneke_Nkwoala road.
“As an elected House of Assembly member, who represented Ngor Okpala state Constituency in the 9th Assembly, from my investigation into the Votes and Proceedings of the 9th Assembly, within the period Blyden Amajirionwu represented Ngor Okpala, there was no mention either on Motion for Adjournment or proper legislative motion to draw the attention of the Executive over the State of Ngor Okpala roads. And even during budget defence or debate, there was no record of Amajirionwu making a case for Ngor Okpala deplorable roads, ” he declared.
“Further speaking on Amajirionwu’s letter, Bede Eke said,”I only decided to respond to Amajirionwu because he mentioned my name as a government official in the 3_R administration, which am part of.
“Am barely two years in the 3_R administration, and as a Commissioner, I know the proper channel to communicate to the executive governor on matters as it affects my LGA or the Ministry which am in charge and that is not for public consumption.
I can boldly say that the open letter written by Blyden Amajirionwu to Gov Uzodinma was not done based on patriotism but rather targeted to score cheap political points. “The man is a political jobber, so he knows what he is doing, and he knows he is doing whatever for his self-serving political interest.” Since he resigned from the All Progressives Congress, APC, what has changed?
Amajirionwu is an attention seeker, and that has been his stock in trade, while appealing to the people of Ngor Okpala LGA to be patient with the 3_R administration of Gov Hope Uzodinma, am optimistic that very soon, our roads will receive government’s attention.
Gov Uzodinma is aware of the state of roads in the entire state and will attend to them accordingly.
