NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS ORLU BRANCH INDUCTS NEW MEMBERS

The Nigerian Society of Engineers,( NSE),Orlu branch, has inducted her 39 new members.

The ceremony which took place at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Engineering House, Aladinma, Owerri attracted some bigs in the Engineering Society such as Engineer Ugo Anyanwu who represented the President Engr Margaret Oguntula, Engr Prof Cosmos Anyanwu(Deputy Director, Africa Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Power and Energy Development, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, who was also the Guest Lecturer), Rev Engr. Chukwuka Ekejiuba(immediate Past Chairman) and HRH Eze Engr. Silver Ibenye-Ugbala of Okporo Ancient Kingdom, Orlu (who was the Royal Father of the Day)

In her goodwill message, the National President Engr Oguntula who spoke through Engr Ugo Anyanwu thanked the Orlu Branch for organizing such Induction and also congratulated the Inductees for making the List.

She also reminded them of the ethics of the Engineering Profession, advising them to ensure that those tenets of their Noble Profession were jealously guarded in their Private Practices.

She also spoke about membership financial obligations adding that having been inducted they were fully qualified to be addressed with the appellation “Member, NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS ( MNSE).

On conduct, Engr Oguntula reminded the inductees that the Profession has its own sanctions, like other Professions in Nigeria for erring Members in their practices.

Speaking earlier, the NSE ORLU branch Chairman, Engr Dr Chinedu Okpara while welcoming the attendees congratulated the inductees reminding them that their proactiveness in things of the Society could lift it to the next level.

In a chat with newsmen, one of the inductees, Engr Emmanuel Ikenna Chikwere described the occasion as one of the happiest days in his life and assured he would make impactful contributions to the Society.
