Mixed reactions has continued to trail the demolition of shops at the Imo State University, Owerri.
This is coming on the heels of an impending mass protest by the shop owners who allegedly claimed that the demolition exercise was an act of victimization by the school authorities.
Speaking to Imo Trumpeta on the issue, one of the victims of the shops, Mr. Onyeka Okere expressed dismay over the exercise, stressing that the University Management did not give them enough time to park out.
She further noted that their rent has not expired and wondered why the University carried out such an unholy exercise.
Mrs. Okere however maintained that where the management asked them, to relocate is small, adding that some mischievous elements had already given out the area to their cronies.
She described as wicked the action of the school management, and affirmed that they have concluded arrangements to embark on street protest by next week.
Efforts to get the reaction of IMSU PRO, Nze Njokuobi proved abortive as his phone number rang without response, even the that messages sent to him were not replied.
