OCCIMA Calls for Media Partnership, Govt Support

The Owerri Chambers Of Commerce, Industry,Mines and Agriculture OCCIMA has charged Media Practioners in Imo State to always help educating the populace on the Workings of OCCIMA.

This call was made by the President of OCCIMA, High Charles Okere during a Breakfast meeting with Media Practitioners in Imo State at Rockview Hotels, Owerri which attracted a cross section of Broadcasters, Newspaper Editors and Reporters, including Public Relations Officers and other Media Sectors,Entrepreneurs and Business Men and Women.

Speaking at the further, Chief Okeke appealed to Imo State Government led by Governor Hope Uzodimma to give support to cristalise the plans of OCCIMA Imo State and her Economy.

The OCCIMA President disclosed that he was optimistic that when ever the Governor gives the Body audience he will heed to their requests,adding that the Chambers of Commerce in many States are partners in progress to their Stats pointing out that that of Imo will not be different.

“We have a listening Governor. We have visited relevant Commissioners in the State and have been assured that the Governor will soon host OCCIMA” Okeke assured.

He maintained that OCCIMA can boost Imo State Economy because the Body is involved in Land, Tourism, Agriculture, Mines,Commerce,Trading and other Economic Sectors.

He implored Newspaper Publishers,Traders,Private Business Owners, Transporters etc to come and register with OCCIMA as an Umbrella Body to champion the Success of their Business Outlets.

Among those in attendance apart from Media Practioners was Executive Members of of OCCIMA including the 2nd Vice President, Bar Emmanuel Egejurum PhD,Hon Chief Alex Ohaegbuchu,LoLo.Ohanwe, Dr Godwin Ugochukwu Okoro and others.
