ORSU APC STAKEHOLDERS WELCOME BACK IFEANYI NWADIKWA TO THE PARTY, REAFFIRM VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON AKAOLISA LEADERSHIP

Penultimate Saturday 12 September 2026,Orsu Local Government Area Leaders and Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC gathered at the event Hall of Harvesters Hotel New Owerri to welcome back to its fold Hon Chief Ifeanyi Destiny Nwadikwa (Akaraka Orsu) who graciously resolved to return to the APC after announcing withdrawal and seizure of his membership of the ruling party shortly after Imo State House of Assembly party primary for Orsu State Constituency.

Nwadikwa had after the State Assembly primary election for Orsu State Constituency for personal reasons which he described as”stepping aside”.However on Saturday, September 12 2026, the Orsu Local Government Area leaders and Stakeholders of the APC gathered to welcome him back to the party and also used the opportunity to reinforce their unalloyed support and loyalty to the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma as the leader of the party in the State.

Speaking during the occasion,Hon Nwadikwa said that he resolved to temporarily step aside shortly after the House of Assembly primary and that in the spirit of a good party man who believes in party loyalty and superiority of the party over its members, he had after due consultations with his followers and associates decided to return to the party.According to him,it was important for him to return and join hands to deliver the State House of Assembly Candidate of the party for Orsu State Constituency, Hon Uchenna Osigwe and other candidates of the party in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.He further doled out the sum of 1m Naira to support Hon Osigwe and presented the sum of 1.5 million Naira to the attendees for their transportation.

Orsu APC further reaffirmed its vote of no confidence in the leadership of Hon Chief COC Akaolisa whom they had earlier removed as the Apex leader of the party in Orsu Local Government Area due to his poor and self centered style of leadership that had in the last four years negatively impacted on the ruling APC and it’s teeming members in the Area.

The Stakeholders reaffirmed their resolve to deliver the candidates of the party at various levels of the forthcoming 2027 general elections ranging from the Presidential Candidate, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Orlu zone Senatorial candidate, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, Federal House of Representatives Candidate for Orlu,Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency, High Chief Hon Canice More Chukwugozie Nwachukwu and the House of Assembly Candidate for Orsu State Constituency,Hon Uchenna Osigwe.

In their separate remarks, leaders who spoke which included; Chief Cyril Odinaka Okafor (Cympok),Hon Stainless Ekene Nnodumele,Hon Engr Friday Ibekaeme,Hon Ndubuisi Okonkwo and others commended Hon Ifeanyi Nwadikwa for demonstrating the true spirit of a good sportsman and deeming it necessary to return to the party to team up with others to support and deliver the party in the forthcoming coming general elections.
