The People’s Democratic Party Chairman in Imo State, Chief Eze Duruiheoma (SAN) has reacted to an embarrassing publication, where he and others were said to have been appointed members of a Committee to inspect road projects by the present administration. According to a statement from the office of the PDP Chairman “Consequent upon this unfortunate mischievous style of booby trap approach, the Government of Imo State should be told that the person and office of the chairman of PDP Imo State, can not be cheapened or ridiculed with any appointment without due consultation.
Eze Duruiheoma (SAN) is a strong believer and champion of due process and rule of law can not in any way be associated with people or a government that tramples upon due process and rule of laws.
“The chairman of PDP Imo State is a complete gentleman who is not known to be blowing hot and cold at the same time. Therefore those who are desperately looking for cheap popularity are better advised not to look at the direction of Eze Duruiheoma (SAN) the tested and trusted chairman of the PDP Imo State. Those who are obsessed with-shoddy projects and undocumented contracts should go and look for their towels where they must have had their bathe – Ndi zakoro nsuso kpofuo ihe ha zakoro. Enough is enough”.
The Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State Chapter, Chief Blyden Amajirionwu has described his appointment by the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha as part of the Committee that will supervise completion of roads in the state as ridiculous, incredible and a joke.
Reacting to the appointment which dominated the Air waves in the state, Amajirionwu wondered the roads he would inspect, assuming he even accepts the offer, adding that Okorocha’s roads and other projects are substandard, even to non Engineers, adding that it was an embarrassment for him to be asked to join Okorocha’s team that constructs roads that are washed away by water within weeks after construction.
Chief Amajirionwu said that apart from the reasons stated, he is a state party officer of his party PDP, and therefore has nothing to do with an APC regime, which has lost focus and the good will among Imo populace.
He maintained that Okorocha’s administration lacks protocol, which was the reason his name was included in a frivolous programme, without consultation, and even went as far as mentioning his name in press without due process.
