The defacto Chairman of Imo Council of Traditional Rulers and Chairman, South-East Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Cletus Ilomuanya (Obi of Obinugwu) has berated Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri over what he termed deceitful publication in the Announcer Express newspaper of Wednesday January 22, 2014 and also in the Daily Sun and Daily Nation Newspapers of Thursday, January 23, 2014 where Eze Ohiri claimed to be the Chairman of Imo Council of Traditional Rulers and erroneously asserted that HRH Eze (Dr) Ilomuanya was removed from office in June 2011.
Eze Ilomuanya also noted that for Eze Ohiri to have masterminded the given of staff of office to some Igbo traders operating outside Igbo land as “Eze Igbo” by the state governor is the height of irresponsibility and an insult on Ndigbo’s tradition, dignity and identity as a people for his selfish pecuniary reasons.
Eze Ilomuanya according to a statement signed by media aide, Kenndy Eweama, averred that Eze Ohiri has in those publications exhibited amateurish and crass intellectual deficiency which is a replica of a mischievous ranting typical of him. The Chairman, Imo Council of Traditional Rulers, Co-Chairman, South-South/South East Traditional Rulers Forum, South East Coordinator in the National Council of Traditional Rulers and Member, Presidential Committee on Public Awareness on security and civic responsibility, noted that he has regards for constituted authority and has nothing against the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha but added that some wrong steps of the administration stem from sycophants and boot lickers like Eze Ohiri who is blinded by pecuniary and mundane interest to say yes, yes to the governor in everything when he is suppose to advise him properly.
Eze Ilomuanya therefore warns Eze Ohiri to stop sponsoring fictitious publications using his name and office in a desperate effort to cover up his evil acts against Ndigbo and Imolites. The Obi of Obinugwu stressed that very soon, the sins of Eze Ohiri will catch up with him.
The monarch, Eze Ilomuanya ask Imo traditional rulers and Imo people to disregard the rantings of the self serving monarch of Obi-Orodo Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli LGA.
