A Governorship Aspirant in Imo State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, for the 2015 general election in the state, Bar Ken Njemanze (SAN) has declared that he has the qualities to navigate the ship of Imo affairs to safety having studied and lived in Imo state all his life, with a track record that will make a good Governor.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), made this disclosure while speaking to Trumpeta at the weekend. The guber hopeful maintained that Imo state needs a servant, but not a leader, pointing out that should God help him attain the position, Imo state will never regret it.
Njemanze who schooled at Government College and Holy Ghost College respectively before heading to University of Lagos for his University Education and Law School said, for the love he has for Imo state, he returned home immediately after completing his law school, and has remained in Owerri till date, and therefore knows what Imo people want.
He dismissed the insinuation making the rounds that he is being sponsored by a former Governor in the state, pointing out that it was ridiculous for anybody to even think of such, adding that he is his own man, stressing that he was not surprised to hear such since it is part of politics, as opponents will ever devise strategies to out-wit each other.
Njemanze who said he has the pedigree to turn Imo to a utopian society maintained that for now he only wants Imo people to know that he has joined the race, and has his programmes which would be disclosed at the appropriate time.
The urbane legal luminary hinted that he is not cut out to run down anybody, and urged others to pursue an issue-based outing and tell Imo people what they can offer than dwelling on mundane matters.
“What is of importance to Imo people is how to improve the various sectors of the state; Education, Health, Agriculture, Security, Housing, Environment, Employment, Sports etc for Imo to attain the dreams of its founding fathers and I know I have the quality to bring real change to the state.” Njemanze said.
The scion of the Njemanze Royal Kingdom of Owerri said he does not have any god father, except God, but respects all the political leaders in Imo state.
