The former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah, who has declared intention to run for the House of Representatives position of Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, Oru West Federal constituency has taken his consultation to Oru West
A two-time representative of Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Opiah is meeting the party leadership of the area on what he has in stock for the federal constituency.
Opiah while declaring to run for the position declared that the federal constituency deserves the best representation than what is being experienced. According to the experienced lawmaker who created several bills and motions that touched the lives of people of his area especially the significant Imo State oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ISOPADEC, the federal constituency has lost enough that warrants a redeemer in his person to wade in.
Opiah who is eminently qualified among other PDP aspirants and contenders in other parties stated that the magic he used in the past to deliver for the people will be re-enacted if given the chance to be in Abuja for the people of Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema and Oru West
What further propelled Opiah to embark on save-our-soul rep bid according to him is the general clamour by stakeholders and leaders of the area from the three LGAs seeking his magic wand in the Green chamber of the National Assembly.
The stakeholders who met early this year to pass a vote of no confidence on the incumbent over poor and unquantified representation expressed confidence that the former speaker judging from antecedent can deliver.
