Our source gathered that prospective Guber aspirants have purchased their forms secretly from the party state secretariat at Imo State University junction (IMSU) Owerri.
Trumpeta authoritatively learnt that the party (APC) will hopefully unfold its consensus Guber candidate for the 2015 election in Imo Thursday as the party holds primaries for governorship election. Authoritative source from Govt House, Owerri who spoke to our reporter said that APC will shock the opposition group in Imo by unveiling a secret candidate it has been packaging since the incumbent is running for governor.
Trumpeta recently published that Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere and Chief of Staff Imo Government House, Sir Jude Ejiogu were among those contending for the Imo Guber seat to succeed Governor Rochas Okorocha who is aspiring for presidency in 2015.
The said secret contenders may not be far from the said duo who are closely monitored to succeed Okorocha.
A party chieftain who spoke to Trumpeta on condition of anonymity further confirmed the development by asking the newspaper and Imolites to wait for the date of unmasking the sole candidate.
“Owelle is running for the President APC will unveil our secret candidate any moment from now who told you we have no governorship candidate?” he added.
From all indications, fingers are pointing at Madumere a nd Ejiogu, while the governor’s wife, Nkechi and the son in law are billed to run as deputy to the eventual flagbearer.
