Abuja, the Nation’s capital is teeming with members of Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who stormed the city in solidarity to Imo Senators and members of House of Representatives who will be inaugurated today.
According to sources, Senators-elect, Chief Sam Daddy Anyanwu, Chief Hope Uzodinma and Chief Athan Achonu are all looking forward to the occasion which kicks off today by 10am.
While Anyanwu is the Senator-elect for Owerri, Achonu is for Okigwe Senatorial zone, while Chief Hope Uzodinma is a two-time Senator representing Orlu zone.
Meanwhile, Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah (Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru West), Hon Nnanna Igbokwe (Ahiazu/Ezinihite Mbaise), Hon Bede Eke (Ngor-Okpala/Aboh Mbaise) all of House of Representatives are said to have hired Buses that have been moving their supporters in droves to Abuja.
Trumpeta learnt that the Lawmakers left nothing to chance as they are out to spoil their numerous supporters who arrived Abuja in their resplendent attires to turn the town Red with celebration.
This Newspaper was told that some candidates of the opposition parties who lost to these successful candidates of the PDP sent Spies to Abuja to “monitor” the inauguration for information and lapses that could be of help during the battles in the Election Tribunal.
“I have been sent to Abuja to gather information for my Principal who is challenging his opponent in the Tribunal” a source told Trumpeta.
