
New member representing Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta, Oru West in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah has restated commitment to serve the interest of his people in the lower legislative arm.
Speaking moments after he was inaugurated, Opiah noted that giving the people effective representation will be his first line of action as a lawmaker.
According to the Speaker Emeritus of the Imo State House of Assembly, “Catering for the interest of my people and ensuring that I sponsor Bills to attract democracy dividends to Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta and Oru West is my concern.”
Speaking further, Opiah noted that the peculiarity of his constituency entails that he takes a step further to ensure that the area is not left out of the structure of things at the federal level.
Opiah is hopeful that things will change for the better as he takes the responsibility to speak the voice of his constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
