Governor Okorocha’s dissolution of his Cabinet, Boards of Parastatals and other agencies has continued to take its toll especially in many institutions ridden by acrimony.
The issue of who takes over from the Principal Officer of the Imo State Council for Arts and Culture, Chief Iyke Uzoma is causing ripples in the place as Chief Uzoma has just handed over to Mr Ray Anumba, former Head of Corporate Affairs and now Head of Performing Artistes instead of to the Head of Administration, Sir Charles Okoro as officially directed by government.
The aftermath of this flagrant abuse and disobedience to government directives has given birth to factionalisation in the Council thereby breeding acrimony in the council known by other parastatals as a united family.
A source told Trumpeta that Mr Ray Anumba is heading a faction called the Hallow Chambers just as the Head of the Council Union, Mr Chinedu Opara is leading another faction nicknamed the Peace Group while the third faction, said to be often victimised, call themselves the Progressives.
Some of the workers who spoke to Trumpeta appealed to Governor Okorocha to intervene in the crisis by directing that appropriate handover be done as the Council has no room for mediocrity but for excellence and peace.
They called for staff audit as many workers said to belong to the Hallow Chambers have no beats except coming at month ends to collect salaries.
Meanwhile activities in the council are gradually winding down as every staff is now suspicious of each other thereby derailing all pros and cons that make for good cohabitation.
