Preparations for who will emerge as the most beautiful Igbo girl 2015, slated to hold in Enugu come October this year is in top gear as disclosed by the President, Asa-Igbo foundation, Prince Akubueze Mike.
Speaking to Trumpeta Extravaganza recently in Owerri, Prince Akubueze Mike pointed-out that the venue and date of the Pageant is yet to be fixed due to the fact that the pageant would be combined with presentation of award for excellence to notable sons and daughters of Igbo Nation who have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Igbo land and their consent as regards their availability is being considered.
Prince Akubueze Mike stated that the event’s aim is to project and celebrates the rich Igbo cultural heritage, “Asa, in Igbo language means beauty of an Igbo woman, so if you think you posses this attributes you can try your luck” he said.
According to him, “our aim is also to impact knowledge in our beautiful ladies believing that if the knowledge of the Igbo-ness of Igbo Nation is transferred to all our contestants, they will surely transfer it to the next Igbo generation through their children, there is nothing like dressing nude, all we need is a beautiful girl with character and intellect” he explained.
He revealed that the winner of the contest will receive a brand new car, a trip to Paris and three-hundred and fifty thousand naira cash, while the first-runner-up would get a brand new car, three hundred and fifty thousand Naira plus a trip to Dubai and the second-runner up will go home with a brand new car, two hundred and fifty thousand Naira, plus a trip to South-Africa.
