Following a true demonstration of the peoples mandate at the just concluded Anambra gubernatorial election, the President of Imo State Union South Africa (ISUSA) and aspirant for the Imo State House of Assembly seat in 2019, Hon. Chief Njoku Chimezie has congratulated the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA governorship candidate, Chief Willie Obiano for his landslide victory at the poll last weekend.
Speaking to Trumpeta newspaper shortly after collation and announcement of the results by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, the IMHA aspirant stated that Governor Willie Obiano’s victory was a clear indication that power belongs to the people of Anambra who displayed a strong will for the continuity of good, quality, and responsive governance that yielded the dividend of democracy after a term in office.
He added that Governor Obiano’s victory was too clear to be contested or questioned and advised candidates of other political parties who took part in the election to close rank with Governor Obiano and make Anambra envy of other states in the country.
The ISUSA president further stated that APGA’s victory in Anambra buttressed the importance of unity in an organized system and believed that if the giant strides achieved in Anambra State through dedication, honesty and commitment could be actualized within a short period of time, then a lot can be achieved over time within the south-Eastern States.
Hon. Chimezie Njoku commended the good people of Anambra for their peaceful conduct during and after the gubernatorial elections as he advised INEC to replicate their unbiased efficiency as recorded recently ahead 2019 general elections.
