Orogwe Community in Festive Mood over OIF Unity Cup .. As New PG, Pastor Jerry Commends Group

It was indeed a festive atmosphere at the Orogwe Community primary school on Tuesday December 5, 2017 during the official opening ceremony of the maiden edition of the Orogwe integrity forum OIF, football competition for all six villages in the community.

The trophy which was donated/powered by Sir Goddy Ahuakagha under the aegis of the Orogwe intregrity forum is to help foster peace and unity among the villages that make up the great community as well as help identify and expose football talents while engaging the youths meaninfuly to help reduce social vices especially during the yuletide period.

Addressing the mammoth crowd before the opening encounter between Amata and Umueze, Mr Benjamine Iheanacho, Chairman of OIF charged the players to avere themselves of this opportunity to showcase their talents advicing against any behavior that may undermine the aims objectives of the tournament which according to him the forum intends to make an annual event .

In his speech, the newly elected president general of Orogwe community development union OCDU, pastor Jerry Atuzie commended member of OIF for the innovative idea of using football to unite their great community.

Other communities also taking part in the tournament include; Uba, Umuofom, Umunjanwoke and Umunuma.

Members of OIF and the organizing committee include; Mr Jerome Anorue, vice chairman, Mr Ndubuisi Ohanaka, Rev Innocent Osuoha, pastor John Ejiogu and others.
