An Ordained clergy of the Anglican Communion, and a die- hard member of the All Progressive Congress, (APC), Evangelist Clifford Eze has maintained that there was no Ward Congresses across the 27 Council Areas of Imo State.

He made this assertion while fielding questions from Trumpeta Correspondent who quizzed him on his feelings towards the outcome of the supposed ward congresses slated for Saturday, May 5, 2018, which was expected to produce the next Ward Executives to pilot the affairs of APC across the 305 Wards in the State.

In a swift response, he frowned at the level of hatred, and turbulence engineered by some politicians, in a bid to manipulate the results of the congress, as against the masses wish.

He submitted that a congress where sensitive materials were missing till nightfall will not be considered as fair and to have hold.

“There was no congress in Imo State, as the sensitive materials were never sighted, even after the blame game by the Chairman of the congress Committee, and the APC Organizing Secretary, Osita Izunaso. The police should as a matter of urgency fish out the man who had wanted to create a panic and tension filled environment in Imo”. Clifford opined.

Again, Clifford Eze told this Newspaper that if not for the type of Governor Imolites has, it would have been a different games at the same time.

The governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha was however commended and rated for his leadership approach towards proffering solutions to the turbulent, botched congresses.

Commending the Governor, Eze said, upon earlier reports and accusations on the governor hijacking the sensitive materials, which was later discovered to be manipulated by desperadoes in other camps, Owelle Okorocha endured all insults and sought for peace. We need to pray and commend the governor, having played maturely and like a conscientious leader which he is over the issue”.

Clifford posited that Imolites and the world at large now know who the true “serpents and deceivers” are plotting for the downfall of the State.

Still on that, the security chiefs are enjoined to further and properly investigate the matter in bringing perpetrators to the ambits of the law, to serve as a deterrent to others.

In a related development, politicians were admonished to eschew envy, bitterness and acts capable of ruining other persons future, but should see politics as a call for effective service.

“No amount of lies, falsehood, propaganda or treachery would hinder God’s plans for Imo State” Evangelist Clifford Eze added.
