The war between Dr (Mrs) Chika Nnajiofor, the General Manager, Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) and the consultants working under her is said to have escalated and may go out of control if Governor Rochas Okorocha did not intervene now to put the situation under control.

The two parties are fighting over Internally Generated Revenue of the Parastatal. While the female general manager is talking about the possibility of meeting the target set up by the management, the consultants on their own are accusing her of high handedness and self centeredness.

This fight as we leant is not giving OCDA a good image. Reacting to the allegations that she sacked those who are having face-off with her and replaced them with her relations to work as new consultants of OCDA. However, the female G.M said her coming to OCDA is to bring progress and not to victimize anybody, adding that any consultant who is unable to meet up the target will be shown the way out.

“OCDA is into serious business and must generate the required revenue for the State” the G.M submitted. Speaking further, she denied sacking anybody to bring her relatives to work as consultants.

She told our reporter that she has paid all the workers of OCDA their accumulated salaries, adding that she will leave the place better than she met it. She thanked Governor Rochas Okorocha for giving her the opportunity to serve as general manager of OCDA.

Information available to us revealed that the place right now is stinking, moreover concerned Imolites have called for an investigation into the Account of OCDA. Some workers there are suspecting foul play from the management on the issue of finance and IGR. It was revealed that no staff of the place is signatory to OCDA Account except the GM.

The more annoying part they alleged, is that somebody was said to have been drafted from the Ministry to serve as an Accountant coupled with other activities that are militating against the welfare of OCDA workers. Many are now protesting that Dr Mrs Nnajiofor, the female G.M should go.
