Owerri Senate: Nwachukwu Consults Leaders

APGA senatorial aspirant for Owerri zone in 2019, Chief Mike Nwachukwu has continued his consultations of leaders across all the political parties in the nine local government areas of the zone.

In line with the programme of action meant to give honour to whom honour is due, High Chief Mike Nwachukwu visited three leaders in Ngor Okpala LGA, one of the constituents LGAs of Owerri zone. Speaking at the office of Okenze Sylvester Obinna, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress, Chief Nwachukwu said he had come to consult with the Okenze Ngor Okpala to inform him of his desire to represent Owerri zone at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly.
Nwachukwu promised to provide effective and impactful representations to the people of the zone, having been in active politics for many years and acquired the necessary exposure that would enable him serve his people better. Reacting, Okenze Obinna thanked the aspirant for the visit, describing Chief Nwachukwu as a man who has the requisite qualifications and knowhow to effectively represent the people of Owerri zone and wished him success. At the residence of Chief Uju Madu, the Omekagu of Umuohiagu, Ngor Okpala LGA, Chief Nwachukwu also received the blessing of the foremost Ngor Okpala political leader. Chief Uju Madu said he was under pressure to join APGA because of his friends and brothers in that party like Chief Sam Amadi who is running for the governorship position and Chief Mike Nwachukwu who is running for Senate.

He corroborated the stand of Okenze Obinna that Chief Nwachukwu is a good material for the senate in Owerri zone and urged him to work hard to pick the ticket of his party first. The senatorial hopeful’s train also stopped at the residence of Hon. John Jude, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ngor Okpala LGA where Chief Amadi met with the party leader and other leaders at his residence.

Hon. John Jude, a one-time House of Representatives aspirant urged Chief Nwachukwu not to relent since he has chosen to serve his people. He observed that the race to the National Assembly is not an easy one, adding that only those who have steel determination and grace can run it till the end. Chief Nwachukwu was accompanied in the visit by some leaders of Owerri zone.
