okorocha and madumere

By Onyekachi Eze

The seeming frosty relationship between the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his embattled Deputy, Prince Eze Madumere is degenerating to another frightening level with unprintable versions and name calling coming into the cross fire.

It would be recalled that before the APC congress in May, 2018, Okorocha and Madumere commenced a cold war that latter saw the Deputy Governor dump the Rescue Mission political camp because of the governor’s stoic stance on making his son in-law, Chief Uche Nwosu, the successor. The differences culminated to the impeachment of Madumere by the Imo State House of Assembly, though his ouster is still hanging in the balance because of a pending court case parties are awaiting judgment.

However, the appointees in the office of the Governor and Deputy Governor, Sam Onwuemeodo and Uche Onwuchekwa, respectively, have opened another frontier of war of attrition for the two politicians leading to exchange of uncouth languages in the social media.

Okorocha’s spokesman, Sam Onwuemeodo fired the first salvo this time when in a commentary he authored circulating in the social media. In the piece, he tagged A Stingy George Eche Enters One Chance Bus”, instead of concentrating on the subject matter, derailed by labeling the aspiration of the impeached Deputy as an inordinate ambition”.

Onwuemeodo in his usual method of casting aspersion on any politician opposed to the desire of his pay master wrote, “whether he will lose or win, is not the issue. If you ask me, Madumere is driven by inordinate ambition.

Meanwhile, reacting swiftly to Onwuemeodo’s statement, the CPS to Madumere, Uche Onwuchekwa described the governor’s CPS as a proverbial burning grasshopper, s swine who will continue to role in filth for obvious reason of nature.

Onwuchekwa said Okorocha’s media aide laws competence, if not would have not embarked on making derogatory statement against Madumere who is always revered by his paymaster (Okorocha).

“It will also be imperative to ask from our Governor the contributions of Prince Eze Madumere towards realizing the dream of getting to where he is today”,

“Ordinarily, what locus does Onwuemeodo have to begin to arrogate the power of querying his principal, the Deputy Governor over his ambition? This is rather the height of insubordination for a mere incompetent Press Secretary who should ordinarily be sober at the mention of the office of the Deputy Governor”.

Onwuchekwa said.
