Apparently swayed by the number of high calibre politicians leaving his camp in droves to other division, Governor Rochas Okoroch of Imo State has requested associates to remain steadfast with him ahead 2019 election, adding that he is battling for their interest and not for selfish reasons.

Reports have it that a number of top politicians in his fold are looking another way other than his side since things started turning bad for his Rescue Mission group for 2019 election.

In a bid to calm the nerves of faction members of APC in Imo State loyal to him, Okorocha rapped them to have absolute believe in his ability since he has been fighting for their interest.

Responding to the concerns of his members in the State over the state of things in the Party, the governor assured that he will continue to fight to ensure that the people’s wishes are not thwarted by any group of people, no matter how highly placed.

He said,”It is political corruption, fraudulent and rascally but I am fighting that. I am not fighting for myself but for all of you. It would have been easier for me to negotiate with those men at the top and come back home to relax, but I will not.”

“I will fight to ensure that your mandate to our Party members is not robbed. I am fighting for the sustenance of democracy and I am fighting for the freedom of future generation of Nigerians. If I keep quiet, if all of us keep quiet, then, it won’t be long before this becomes the norm in our system”

“Someone cannot spend his hard earned money, invest his time and ideas and win an election and some people, would sit down in an air conditioned office and fix whatever names they want as candidates. Such people so fixed will be taught the efficacy of people’s power.” He declared.”
