The story in the Bible that a House divided among itself cannot stand, is playing out in the All Progressives Congress APC, Imo State chapter, where the out-going Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and the Governorship candidate of the party, Senator Hope Uzodinma are at daggers drawn situation.

Okorocha, a member of the APC with the Senatorial ticket of the party in Orlu zone, has made it clear that “APC has no Governorship candidate in Imo,” and has directed his teeming followers to dust up rested Action Alliance, AA for their 2019 election ambitions.

Okorocha is yet to forgive Senator Hope Uzodinma for snatching APC’s Governorship ticket from him, which he had reserved for his son inlaw, and anointed successor, Chief Uche Nwosu.

Meanwhile, Senator Hope Uzodinma himself has vowed to stand up to Okorocha’s plots to make sure that he does not win the Imo Governorship election.

While Okorocha plans Uzodinma’s downfall, the Senator is said to have perfected plan in making sure that Okorocha does not win the Orlu Senate Seat and become his successor in the Senate.

Following this scenario, the Imo APC is practically at war with itself, as the two major chieftains of the party in Imo State fight to finish.

Already, Uzodinma is said to be trying everything possible to convince the APC hierarchy in Abuja to dissolve the Imo Executive of the party, which Uzodinma knows is populated with Okorocha’s stooges.

As at present, the entire Imo APC Executive led by Mr Dan Nwafor, from top to bottom is made up of Chief Uche Nwosu’s personal Aides.

Meanwhile, it was learnt that some of them have moved to AA, leaving behind those holding strategic positions in APC, to deal with Hope Uzodinma’s Governorship dream.

Trumpeta learnt that to stop the raging war in Imo APC and current the situation, the party will soon announce a Caretaker Committee to be headed by Imo APC Governorship candidate’s choice as Uzodinma has complained of working with “strange fellows” in the party’s Secretariat in Imo.

Pundits are predicting that if the situation is not brought under control before the general elections, the APC will suffer a heavy blow in Imo State.
