*DISSOLUTION OF IMO STATE WORKING COMMITTEE (SWC) AND APPOINTMENT OF A CARETAKER COMMITTEE IN IMO STATE*
The attention of the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, APGA has been drawn to the recent developments in the Imo State Chapter of the party via a Communiqe signed by the State Executive Committee members of the party.
The NWC perused the allegations against the recently suspended state Chairman and two others, and considered the confusion created in constant removal and appointment of SWC members by the suspended state Chairman and in consideration of the collective request of the State Executive Committee of the party, Imo State Chapter, as contained in their signed communiqe and Press Statement (copy of which was made available to the NWC).
At the end of its Emergency Meeting held in Awka on April 29, 2019; the NWC resolved and directed as follows:
1. That the request of the State Executive Committee, Imo state Chapter to set up a Caretaker Committee as contained in their Communiqe is hereby approved and granted.
2. That following the request of the State Exco, the State Working Committee (SWC ) Imo State Chapter is hereby dissolved with immediate effect and a Caretaker Committee set up.
3. That the Assistant National Organising Secretary of the party, South East Zone, Hon John C. Iwuala shall from henceforth oversee the activities and affairs of the party in Imo State as Caretaker Committee Chairman with other members of the Caretaker Committee pending the holding of Ward, LGA and State Congresses in the coming weeks.
4. That the following persons are hereby appointed as members of the Caretaker Committee to oversee the activities and affairs of the party in Imo State:
