The Imo state Police command has paraded a police inspector, one Salvation Kpun, a serving member from the Department of Operations, DOPs and others for crimes relating to armed robbery and kidnapping.
In a release made available to Trumpeta Newspaper, operatives of the Imo SARs, arrested the said police inspector at Works Layout, Owerri in connection to armed robbery, alongside, one Kingsley Osuigwe “m” and Okoroma Ikechukwu “m”. Exhibits recovered from them were, one Lexus 470 and one tricycle.
Suspects have made useful statements and confessed to the crime which helped in nabbing the said policeman who they linked to the crime and one other soldier presently at large, as members of their syndicate.
Prince Chikere “m” 19yrs, Chibuike Oyiwara “m”, Amuzie Uchenna ” m”, Odunze Azunna “m” all of Umuhaja Obitti in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area and members of the dreaded Iceland cult, was arrested in connection to the murder of the late Anayo, Nzube and Eze who were murdered in cold blood in 2018.
Others arrested for armed robbery was one Chukwu Egbuka “m” 22yrs, Kelvin Eze “m”, 33yrs, Okwukwe Kenneth “m” 31yrs, Chibuzo Osuala “m” 28yrs, Nwariwa Chidubem “m” 25yrs, Maxwell Sunday Chinonso 41yrs “m”, Chukwuemeka Ehinne 19yrs, Elijah Ubakaeze ” m” 24yrs, Ozoemena Chigbogu Enyiora “m” 27yrs and Yohana Godgift “m” 40.
Ndubuisi Nnodim “m” aka Buhari, Ekeocha Nnamdi “m”, Chidi Ekegbu ” m”, Bright Chukwuemeka “m”, Chimuanya Nberikpe “m”35yrs, Okorocha Chibuzo “m” 28yrs, Solomon Uzoukwu “m”, 30yrs, Johnson Bright “m” 21yrs, Chukwudi Agocha “m” 19yrs was paraded for kidnap crimes while a gun fabricator, Eze Ajoku 63yrs “m” was arrested.
Exhibits recovered include, blade and laptop, wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian Hemp, large quantity of Indian hemp wrap papers, six wraps of substance suspected to be Cocaine, one match box, five roll bond used for Cocaine, seven razor blades, five lighters, two cutlasses, one military camouflage t-shirt, one military, camouflage trousers, master key.
Others are, two double barrel pipes, eight single barrel pipes, nine rifles engines(stock), one drilling machine, nine saw blades, one hammer, two pinches, one locally made pistol, one locally made pistol butt, three barrel butts among other fabrication instruments, seven various types of charms, a pierce metal object, one military identity card.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Ladodo while addressing the press, stated that the new directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, to flag off the Operation Puff Adder was yielding tremendous benefits.
He further informed that, the command arrested 94 suspects in various violent and other related offences, which 66 of them have been charged to court, seven died as a result of encounter with the police while others are still under investigations.
The CP however appealed to the general public to assist the police with useful information to help rid the state of crime and criminality as he praised his gallant officers for their resilience, doggedness and courage.
