A group known as Okigwe Zone Youth Solidarity Movement (OZYSM), a mass based youth organization in Okigwe Zone has called on the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Dr Ikedi Ohakim to run for Okigwe senatorial election in 2015.

Briefing newsmen at the end of an emergency meeting, last week, the secretary of the organization, Comrade Victor Christopher said that the decision to adopt Dr Ohakim was born out of his transparent leadership when he was the Governor of Imo State.

He said that having looked at the score card of some politicians in Okigwe Zone, the organization came to the conclusion that Dr Ikedi Ohakim happens to be the most qualified person to represent the zone at the National Assembly.

Comrade Christopher however advised those nursing the ambition of the senatorial seat to sacrifice it for Dr Ohakim, adding that they should try their luck some other time.

The youth leader also described Dr Ohakim as a visionary and pragmatic leader, who used his administrative prowess to transformImoState, and enjoined him to accept the clarion call by the organization to contest for the said election.

On the face off between Ohakim and Chikwem Onuoha, Comrade Christopher lambasted Onuoha for challenging his boss, adding that such attitude was a display of ingratitude to the person who appointed him to serve as his Deputy Chief of Staff during his administration, while cautioning Onuoha to be mindful of what he says, stressing that Dr Ohakim is still his boss.

He also advised Chikwem Onuoha to mend fences with Ohakim, if not, his chances of being relevant politically in Okigwe zone and Imo in general will be truncated.
