The second edition of the Mr and Miss Imo will be coming up on the 12th of May, 2012 at the Sam Mbakwe Banquet Hall of Imo Concorde Hotel Owerri.
According to the organisers of the event, Chris Events, an event managing outfit based here in Owerri, the event will be producing at the end, a youth and tourism Ambassador for peace development strides of His Excellency, Anayo Rochas Okorocha.
The Managing Director of Chris Events, Chris Ikoku Ikenna Amako, told Imo Trumpeta that his outfit will be partnering with Imo promotions council, All Seasons Hotels, Winter Suites Hotel, The Maunch eatery, Pepper Chicken and Playboy digital studios to make the event a memorable one with Mr Iyke Okorocha as the patron.
Speaking further, Ikoku did reveal that celebrities like Daurele Edwin of Channel O, T.J (Elewe ukwu egbu ewu), Slow Dogg, Bush man Swag records and Chigozie Anumodu (Manosky) of Heartland FM will be making the events tick. The Chief host Chief Hilary Eke, the T.C Chairman of Ezinihitte and also chairman of ALGON and Rescue Mission will be there with the Okorocha Special guest of honour, his Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
In the event proper, 54 contestants of 27 male and 27 female all representing, the 27 local government areas will converge at the All groomed on capacity seminars by renowned personalities on different fields of life. There will also be an awareness seminar on “HIV” by Imo SACA and then the pageants will be visiting most of the tourism sites in the state.
The contestants will be dressed by Sammisell Contnere and Fremzy Model signature, both based here in Owerri, while the makeup will be handled Ezi/make up.
It would be recalled that Chris Events is gradually becoming a reputable name with beauty pageant events haven handled the Miss Heartland (2007 – 2010), the Miss Garden City of Rivers state (2011) and Miss Amnesty also of River state (2010) all successfully.
