Between Offor, Okpaleke, Ekwebelem & Imo

Popular side has been watching with keen interest the war of words going on between two prominent sons of Onuimo local government area of late, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chinedu Offor has been locked up in verbal exchanges with Dr Kelechi Okpaleke, a former Commissioner in the cabinet of Gov Ikedi Ohakim.

The interesting aspect of their verbal pokes is that both hail from the same area. Instead of working closely, they are cat and dog. The cause of their frosty relationship cannot be ascertained but one common fact remains that they are kinsmen. Popular Side had expected well meaning and responsible persons call them to order than allow their skirmishes to deepen. To make matters worse, some of their leaders of thought especially the royal father joined the fray by taking sides. Some were even quoted to have publicly called Okpaleke unprintable names while trying to tiff to Offor’s side. Okpaleke is boiling and ready to vomit venoms because he was called an “outcast” by the monarchs who will come to the rescue as Onuimo leaders are divided on party lines. The scene is playing out between the member representing the area in the House, Robertson Ekwebelem and the former TC Chairman of Onuimo Jeff Imo. Leaders like OK 2000, John Enyeogasi, Barr Emma Ibediro, Dr Chukwulebe and Rep Omegara Matthew should wade in before their men dance naked.
