I use this opportunity to congratulate Mr Alex Nwahiri of the IBC News and Current Affairs Department on his recent elevation to Acting Director General of the Imo Broadcasting Corporation, IBC. Bravo Nwahiri, you deserve the promotion! I do remember always how you accommodated all the participants in the then IBC Encounter programme and how the outcome of the programme shaped government policies.
D.G, Sir, I will like you to use your wealth of experience to improve the quality of broadcasting in the IBC.
One area begging for attention is the late hooking up of the station to FRCN network news.
Please, do not allow other programmes to flow into network news slot. It is also essential that advertisements with slangs other than Igbo should not be aired.
