.Named Co-Chairman, Uzodimma 2rd Term Inauguration Committee

Even no name has been penciled down within the All Progressive Congress, APC, as possible replacement for Governor Hope Uzodimma in 2027/28, the name of Senator Chris Anyanwu has started ringing bell in the governor’s political family.

Recall that despite earlier promises of handing over to an Owerri Zone person after his second tenure, Uzodimma on getting the mandate  for another tenure repeated this notion.

Since he has given the promise, attention is being focused on those in APC and close to him as possible successors.

Coming from the blues to gain attention recently is a Senator who represented Owerri Zone in 2011-2015, Christy Anyanwu.

Anyanwu who lost out  during the PDP governorship primaries of 2015 election appears to be wangling her way back to reckoning in political circle.

Her surprise appointment as co-chairman of the Committee for Governor Hope Uzodimma’s Second Term Inauguration and Swearing-in Ceremonies has opened another chapter of speculation indicating that she may be the one to watch out in the next four years.

Senator Anyanwu’s surprise naming as Co-chairman of the Committee for the  Inauguration of Uzodimma, according to Trumpeta findings has thrown her up to be looked upon as one of those likely to get the support of the incumbent for the next general election.

Uzodimma and Anyanwu are said to be close and shares cheering affinity as both were in the Senate same time.

The inclusion and naming of Anyanwu as co-chairman of the Committee, according to sources close to Government House, Owerri is designed to not only bring her close to the corridors of power of the 3R administration of Uzodimma but also give her the opportunity to be  acquainted with playmakers in Imo APC.

Already, party members and associates of the governor in the Committee are reported to be watching with keen interest the unfolding drama how Anyanwu will come from nowhere to be counted tops among those speculated to take over from Uzodimma.
