Following last week’s visit of the PDP stakeholders to the party’s leader, President Jonathan in Aso Rock for a parley, the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha is not taking the issue lightly.
Moments after the PDP returned from theAbujatour, Okorocha summoned all his political appointees and invited one leader per electoral ward for a crucial meeting at the Government House.
Apparently aware of the threat and danger posed by the PDP visit toAbuja, Okorocha and his lieutenants held a close door meeting to not only strategize but also fine-tune means of check-mating PDP eggheads both at the grassroots and state levels.
As part of Okorocha’s consolidation agenda, it was agreed that a 20 man list of APGA strongmen and women be compiled to form strong alliance against the opposition in all cadre. Those listed would not only be empowered by the present government but shall also be considered in the scheme of things.
The APGA strategy group will among other things be entitled to use any means it deems fit to keep PDP members at bay in their various wards and LGA’s.
Some leaders of APGA after the meeting met in various hotels to arrange the list before being forwarded to Government House for consideration.
